How we got here
Ten years ago, we were maintaining plants in commercial offices. The work was routine. Water on Tuesdays. Fertilize monthly. Replace anything that looked sad.
But certain plants kept failing despite following the protocols. Pothos in bright offices turned pale. Ferns in air-conditioned lobbies browned at the edges. Peace lilies refused to bloom.
The problem wasn't the plants—it was the one-size-fits-all approach. Each space has unique conditions. Each species has specific requirements. Success demanded customization, not standardization.
So we stopped following generic schedules and started reading environments. Light meters replaced guesswork. Soil moisture sensors replaced calendar reminders. Species selection became site-specific rather than aesthetically driven.
Results improved dramatically. Client retention went from sporadic to sustained. Word spread among property managers, designers, and plant enthusiasts who were tired of watching expensive installations decline.
Our approach differs in three ways
Environmental assessment first
We measure light intensity at different times of day. We check humidity fluctuations throughout seasons. We analyze soil drainage and water retention. Only after understanding the microclimate do we recommend species.
Species-specific protocols
Aroids need different care than succulents. Tropical ferns have different requirements than Mediterranean herbs. We don't apply universal rules—we follow botanical realities.
Adaptive maintenance
